About Slots of Olympus

01A page with one clear demarcation

Slots of Olympus is not yet another catalog trying to encompass the entire gaming market. We have cut the task down to something we can actually keep track of: slot machines where the word Olympus appears in the title. It sounds like a narrow scope, and it is. That said, it means we can review each individual game properly instead of writing three lines about a thousand titles.

The Greece theme has become one of the industry's most recycled motifs. There are now dozens of games that share the same pale blue sky, the same marble columns and the same bearded god on the right side of the screen. The differences lie beneath the surface: in the payout percentage, in volatility, in how high the cap for maximum win is set, and in how the bonus round is put together. Those are the differences this page is about.

02Two writers, each with their own task

Mikkel Aagaard writes the reviews of games and casinos. He is the dry one of the two of us. He prefers numbers, bankroll mechanics and bonus-buy math, and he's fine with writing that a game isn't worth spending time on if the numbers point that way. When you read a review on this site with a rating under 6, it is usually Mikkel who gave it.

Freja Østergaard is in charge of the blog and guides. She explains mechanics, compares games across providers and translates industry jargon into Danish that can be read without a dictionary. Her texts are where we tackle the big questions: why two versions of the same game can have different RTP, what volatility means for a typical evening, and how to read a feature list critically.

Both names are fixed pseudonyms for the editorial team on this site. We use them because they give the reader a recognizable voice and a clear area of responsibility – not to pretend there's a larger house behind them.

03What you'll find here

The core is the game pages. Each of them gathers the factual key figures – provider, release date, RTP, volatility, maximum win, reel structure – and adds a walkthrough of the features on top. In addition there are theme pages that group games by mechanic and provider, a blog with longer rundowns, and a set of information pages like this one where we explain method, economics and caveats.

We update the key figures when the providers change them, and we add new titles as they are released. A catalog like this is never finished; it is an ongoing cleanup.

04Our relationship with the casinos

The site is financed by partner links to casinos. That means we may receive a commission if you click through and sign up somewhere. We state it on the site's front page rather than in a footnote, and we have explained it further on the partner links page. The short version: the money does not affect the rating a game receives, and it does not turn a mediocre casino into a good one.

We do not operate a casino ourselves, we do not accept deposits, and we cannot intervene in a dispute between you and an operator. We are an editorial site, and that is the only role we have.

05Errors and corrections

Numbers change, games are withdrawn, and providers adjust their own sheets. We make mistakes from time to time. If you find a wrong number, a dead link or a description that no longer fits the game, write to [email protected]. We prefer to correct quickly rather than prettily, and we're happy to note in the text when a piece of information was last checked.
