How Hermes Fortunes 2000 works

01Grid, symbols and game feel

Hermes Fortunes 2000 fra EGT runs on a 5x5 grid in a Greek temple with a Hermes/Zeus figure beside the reels. The stake could be set in steps of 200, 240, 280, 320 and 400 EGT, and the balance was around 49.000 EGT in the session.

The symbols are colored gemstones (e.g. diamond, purple triangle, orange circle and green stone), a lyre, a golden chalice and a ring, with a golden bird/phoenix as scatter and the god figure as wild. In the session there were wins marked 8x and 9x with payouts of 80.00 EGT and a LAST WIN of 240.00 EGT.

Above the reels sits EGT's Clover Chance panel with four progressive jackpots: GRAND, MAJOR, MINOR and MINI, whose values tally up live (in the session they were in the region of 40.000-245.000 EGT). These are progressive pools, not fixed multipliers.

The rule set

Game rules

Base game

The game is played on a 6-5 reel set. The published return is 96,8 %, and volatility is listed as high.

Round extension

If more scatters land during the free spins round, it is extended with extra spins. That's the mechanic that makes long rounds possible.

Avalanche mechanic

The reels clear winning symbols and let new ones fall down from above. One paid combination can thus turn into a longer sequence.

Bonus bet

With an increased stake, the frequency of bonus triggers rises. That does not change the game's theoretical return in your favour.

Bonus games

In addition to the main round there is a separate bonus game with its own rules. Access is triggered via bonus symbols in the base game.

Bonus symbols

Special bonus symbols count toward triggering the game's extra rounds and do not necessarily pay out themselves.

Pick-and-win

In the bonus round you pick from hidden tiles until a stop symbol ends the round.
