About the game

How Ares Unleashed works

01Grid, symbols and game feel

Ares Unleashed runs on a 5x4 grid with 20 bet lines (marked 20 up in the corner). In the session PER LINE was 0,01 and total stake 0,20 with a FUN balance around 5.000. The theme is war and fire with tattered banners along the reels.

The flaming Ares warrior is WILD, and a burning helmet/torch symbol with the text FREE SPINS is scatter. Other symbols are an ox, crossed swords, a shield and a sun medallion, plus K, Q, J and A. WILD lands both singly and stacked on the reels.

02Winnings, free spins and profile

During the session several real wins were recorded on the screen: 0,27, 0,49, 0,65 and 0,72 at a stake of 0,20 (equivalent to ca. 1,35x, 2,45x, 3,25x and 3,6x the stake). The FREE SPINS scatter appeared several times during play.

The free spins round is triggered by the scatter symbol, and the game has a BUY button to purchase the feature directly; the price is shown in the purchase dialog. RTP and max win did not appear in the captured images and are confirmed in the game's paytable.

Game rules

Base game

The game runs on a 5-4 reel set with 20 paylines. The published return is 95,78 %, and the volatility is listed as high.

Round extension

If more scatters land during the free spins round, it is extended with extra spins. That's the mechanic that makes long rounds possible.

Bonus buy

The bonus round can be bought directly for a fixed amount of the stake instead of waiting for scatters. The price is shown in the game's buy window — and some operators turn the feature off.

Cheats tool

The game has a built-in panel of optional features that the provider calls cheats. What each option does is stated in the game's info panel.

Expanding wild with respin

The Wild symbol expands across the reel and triggers a respin while remaining in place. The details are listed in the game's rules panel.

Free spins

The scatter symbols trigger a round of free spins. The number of spins and the required number of scatters are shown in the game's info panel and can vary slightly between operators.

Scatter symbols

The scatter symbol pays regardless of position and counts toward the bonus round.
